The five themes of EarthRise are:
- Lift-Off – educating a diverse STEM workforce to power the future and prepare for careers in the physical and biological sciences, engineering, medicine, and more.
- Climate – predicting and adapting in a changing world.
- Health – creating solutions that support a healthy society.
- Energy – inventing and developing clean, abundant, and sustainable energy.
- Beyond – finding and understanding dark matter, dark energy, planets, and life in the universe.
These themes bring together the foundational education our students are receiving and the outcomes that are possible because of these areas. Every aspect of our research and teaching, in all our departments, enables us to address the societal challenges of our time.
